Stamp the white 1 ½ x 1 ½ cardstock with the heart images from the cube stamps. Use only 3 images from cube 927—stamp with black ink and color.
Stamp the shadow heart in red ink on 3 white 1 ½ x 1 ½ cardstock with cube 1865.
Stamp the coordinating outlines over the red shadow with black ink
Mat the 6 pieces on the red 1 ¾ x 1 ¾ cardstock.
Decide the order you want them to open in and set them in 2 piles—one for the right side and one for the left.
Right Side Mechanism:
Take one of the 1 x 4 ¾ pieces and crease the score lines. Take the right side pile of colored, matted hearts. Position the creased scored piece in front of you with the scored side to the right. Note where the glue goes by referring to the illustration. Take the bottom matted image—line up the left edge with the score mark and place your adhesive between the edge and the first score line. Place adhesive on piece between the 2nd and 3rd score marks and lay the second piece down with the left edge lining up with the 3rd score line. Place adhesive between the 3rd and 4th score lines and place the top piece left edge even with the 4th score line. Fold on the 4th score line and set aside.
Left Side Mechanism:
Take the other 1 x 4 ¾ scored piece and position it with the creased scores on the left. Note from the illustration where the adhesive goes. Take the bottom matted image from your left pile and glue to the red scored piece between the edge and the first score line—but line up the right edge of the piece with the second score line. Place adhesive between the 2nd and 3rd score lines and place the right edge of the second piece even with the 3rd score line. Place adhesive for the top piece between the 3rd and 4th score lines—lining up the right edge of the top piece with the 4th score line. Fold on the 4th score line to the back of the squares—set aside.
Take the pink cardstock pieces and randomly stamp them using the letter, love, arrow and lips stamps with red ink to create a fun background. Take the two ½ x 4 pieces of pink cardstock and attach ½ inch from the left and right edges of the 4 x 5 ¼ piece of pink stamped cardstock using the pink heart brads. Attach the piece to the red 4 ¼ x 5 ½ piece of red cardstock.
Take the right side mechanism piece you set aside and slide the flat cardstock part under the pink strip—center and using adhesive—attach the backside of the heart square to only the pink strip. The piece needs to slide freely. Repeat this step for the left side.
Punch holes in the red strip for ribbon—use the ribbon to pull back the hearts fully. Stamp the white piece with the greeting, attach to the pink background and return the heart squares to original position.

NOTE: This is definitely an intermediate project.
